The one thing that sets your Lagos fare

December. Nigerian diaspora travel peaks so hard that the fare curve stops behaving like a normal route. A seat that costs £560 in February costs well over £1,000 in the third week of December, and it does not soften closer to the date — it hardens.

If you are going for Christmas, treat September as your deadline. Not a suggestion, a deadline.

Where we usually beat the public price

This is a consolidator route. The trade net fares available on Lagos are meaningfully better than anything on a comparison site, particularly in the December band. We check the live search and the consolidator on every Lagos enquiry and quote whichever wins — and tell you which it was.

Getting in

Arrivals can be slow and the traffic out of the airport is worse. We prebook a car that meets you inside arrivals, because 4am at Murtala Muhammed is not where you want to start negotiating.
